Warranty Policy

This warranty covers, for the warranty period, repairs caused by defective materials and workmanship while the vehicle is operated normally.

1. Warrantor

HINO warrants each new HINO vehicle for the purpose of warranty within in the country. Note:

* HINO means the HINO authorized distributor.

* HINO vehicle means HINO Trucks and Buses.

2. Warranty begins

The warranty begins on the date the vehicle is delivered to the first retail purchaser or the date the vehicle is first put in use, whichever is earlier.

3. Warranty repairs

Hino authorized dealers will make the warranty repairs (parts and/or labor) free of charge to the owner.

4. Limitation of Warranty

The warranties provides in this warranty, the obligations and the liabilities of hino:

    Are exclusive and in substitution for all other warranties, guaranties, obligations, liabilities, rights and remedies, expressed or implied, arising by law or otherwise, (including but not limited to strict liability in tort, negligence, breach of contract, and any implied warranty of merchantability, and any implied warranty arising from course of performance, course of dealing or usage of trade, and any implied warranty of fitness for particular purpose).

    Shall not be modified except by a written agreement date herewith or subsequent hereto singed on behalf of Hino and the owner by their respective dul authorized representatives. Hino shall not in any case be liable for incidental or consequential damages for incidental or consequential damages whether arising from theories of breach of contract, negligence, strict liability in tort, or any other legal theory.

OEM components are covered separately by their maker. If the above are found to be defective, please contact Hino dealer..

Damage due to accidents, improper operation and modifications

This warranty does not cover damage or premature wear and tear or malfunctioning, caused by or contributed to, directly or indirectly by accident or collision, improper operation such as over load, parts replacements on modification not authorized by HINO.

Damage due to environmental condition

This warranty does not cover damage or premature wear and tear or malfunctioning, caused by or contributed to, directly or indirectly by accident or collision, improper operation such as over load, parts replacements on modification not authorized by HINO.

Damage due to environmental condition

His warranty does not cover damage due to environment conditions such as but not limited to air borne dirt (chemicals, reins, etc.) salt used on roads, tornadoes and lighting, act of God and other events, beyond the control of HINO. Damage due to improper or insufficient maintenance Lack of proper maintenance as described in the Maintenance Schedule. Failure to use fuel, oil and lubricant recommended In the Driver’s Handbook. Proof of proper maintenance is your responsibility. The proper maintenance is recorded by Hino Authorized service dealer when you bring Vehicle there for inspection or periodic maintenance.

Unauthorized body conversions and equipment

Body conversions and equipment, and Special Bodies not made Hino Motors, Ltd. are not covered by this warranty. They are covered separately by their makers.

Maintenance costs

Cost due to ordinary maintenance such as washing, polishing, engine turning, oil replenishment, oil filter, air filter, and fuel filter element change are not covered by this warranty. These costs are borne by the owner.

Extra Expenses

Incidental or consequential damages such as but not limited to telephone cal k. loss of time, inconvenience, or commercial loss, rent a car fee, hotel charge are not covered by this Warranty.

Towing

This warranty does not cover towing expenses.

Other items not covered

1. Conditions of normal noise and vibration are not covered by this warranty.

2. A warranty part requiring replacement at an inspection or adjustment maintenance interval for reasons other than being defective.

3. Corrosion resulting from the following conditions is not covered by this warranty:

  • Accidents, damage, negligent use, and modifications not approved by HINO.
  • Pitting due to sand, road, salt, hail or pebbles.
  • Corrosion resulting from installing devices not approved by HINO.
  • Items described elsewhere as being outside this warranty.
  • Any vehicle on which the odometer has been disconnected or the mileage has altered so the actual engine usage cannot be readily determined.

4. Malfunctions caused by misuse, abuse, improper adjustments, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper or inadequate maintenance, or use of fuel not recommended for the engine.

5. Use of unauthorized HINO service parts.

6. Exhaust Gas Emission.

  • Malfunctions caused by misuse, abuse, improper adjustment, modification, alteration, tampering, disconnection, improper or inadequate maintenance, or use of fuel not recommended for the engine.
  • Damage resulting from accident, act of God or other events beyond the control of HINO.
  • A warranted part requiring replacement at an inspection or adjustment maintenance interval for reasons other than being defective.
  • Use of unauthorized Hino service parts.
  • Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle / engine or commercial loss.
  • Any vehicle on which the odometer has been disconnected or the mileage has been altered so the actual engine usage cannot be readily determined.

7. Expendable items such as electric bulbs, sealed beam, gaskets, lubrication fitting, fuses, air cleaner, oil and fuel filter elements, service and parking brake lining and clutch lining, rubber product such as drive belts are not covered by this warranty.

1. Maintenance

Follow the instruction in your Owner’s Manual for proper operation and for a description of maintenance responsibilities.

2. Warranty service

To receive warranty service, you are responsible for taking your Hino vehicle to the nearest Hino authorized dealer. If in the event of a warrantable failure you are unable to deliver your vehicle to a nearby authorized Hino dealer, please contact your selling dealer or distributor for assistance. Repairs performed at other than authorized Hino dealer must be approved in advance by HINO.

3. Maintenance record

You are responsible for following the maintenance schedule and make sure the scheduled maintenance is performed and record.

4. New Vehicle Inspection

To receive the New Vehicle Inspection, you are responsible for ensuring that all items on the New Vehicle Inspection Record in this booklet are completed at the 1,000 km or 5,000 km interval to the Hino authorized dealer. Failure to have new vehicle inspection completed within certain mileage result in the Hino New Vehicle Warranty being null and void.
